Autumn is a special season - you can get the sesation of time when leaves fall; or people go out decorating for upcoming holidays. In northern part of the world, rain, fog, and snow slowly creep in. '寒露' is the word describing October, and I saw that through window panes this morning.

Two things usually transcend through time for me: rythms and smells. When chords hit or smells tickle, my brain probably stimulates some memories which drag me back to moments that carry weights. Nothing interesting but I've got a stolen monitor and some stories to share.

There are things that just get clearer when I become older. Yet, there are certain things that do not linearly scale with my age so far. I will take some time to share my thoughts on these topics, marking the first post of NOSR series. I expect no one to read this, and that's why I call it NOSR.

I try to make sense of the world by reasoning things down to known theorms. Double-slit experiment is clearly one of the outliers of such reasoning. I was bothered by it for a while. With my limited knowledge about quantum physics, I will share some of my thoughts on how I perceive the world through the lens of physics.

Su Shi (苏轼, 1037–1101) is one of the great philosophers in Chinese history. When he was 20, he was ranked as the smartest person in the country. His talent was also recognized by the emperor, making him a young achiever. However, he was banished later in his life. The delta between his early peak and later life is simply too large. Meanwhile, he wrote his best poems, sharing his thoughts and philosophy. This is one piece I like the most, '定风波'. It reflects my mental state of 'zen' in a way. I will share my thoughts on this poem.
